Senior IT Engineer (Infrastructure & Operations) | Banking

Our client is looking for a high calibre focused IT engineer supporting regional operations, platforms, and mission‑critical systems as a Senior IT Engineer (Infra and Operations)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the IT lead in managing day-to-day technology operations covering end‑user services and core infrastructure.
• Drive coordination of IT activities, including status reporting, operational metrics, audits, and change communications.
• Act as a focal point for process consistency, governance tracking, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory needs.
• Operate and maintain server, storage, virtualization, network, and data centre environments.
• Ensure system availability through proactive monitoring, incident handling, and capacity management.
• Manage backup, recovery, and resilience practices, including regular testing.
• Support business‑critical platforms, including payment and transaction-related systems.
• Provide regional infrastructure and application support across APAC, working closely with headquarters and service partners.
• Participate in infrastructure refreshes, migrations, and improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

• Degree in IT or related field with 10+ years in infrastructure and operations roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience across servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and Microsoft platforms (M365/Azure).
• Knowledge in to payment systems (e.g. RTGS, SWIFT, ICLNet or similar) and their infrastructure.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and mission‑critical systems is advantageous.
• Organized, proactive, and capable of working independently with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
